“You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself any direction you choose. You’re on your own. And you know what you know. And you are the guy who’ll decide where to go.” -Dr. Seuss
After hearing about HOSA from other schools, Claire was eager to start a chapter at her own school. Even though it was hard to navigate her way through the beginning of her journey, she persevered, knowing the impacts this organization could leave on her life. Claire’s HOSA journey has been enlightening and worthwhile, allowing her to meet great friends and learn various skills such as leadership and teamwork. She is honored and excited to continue her journey and serve as the Minnesota HOSA Vice President of Growth for the 2025-2026 term.
Claire is currently a junior at Math and Science Academy, and plans on pursuing a career in mechanical engineering. Although her future major doesn’t necessarily involve healthcare directly, she hopes to use her knowledge of engineering and apply it to the biomedical field to help make medical devices that could save lives. She knows that HOSA has much to offer, and can help her grow not only as a future medical professional, but also as a person and a leader. Along with this self growth, Claire also hopes to grow the Minnesota HOSA. Being a co-founder of her chapter, she knows firsthand the importance of spreading the word about HOSA and helping others start their own journeys. Her goal is to expand the reaches of this organization in Minnesota to help as many people learn about the medical field.
Along with her passion for HOSA, Claire also has a passion for music; she can often be found playing the piano or acoustic guitar, or even just screaming a Taylor Swift song in the car. She is also a lover of sitcoms and anything Marvel, her current favorites being “How I Met your Mother” and X-Men comics. Lastly, Claire loves traveling. Whether she’s road tripping down to Georgia or on a boat in the fjords of Norway, she’s always up for an adventure. The adventure she’s most excited for, however, is her journey of being Vice President of Growth and helping everyone in Minnesota HOSA grow into the future healthcare professionals they are!!
