Since joining HOSA as a freshman, Ivy has found a welcoming community, a world of opportunities, and a true purpose in Minnesota HOSA. Through HOSA, Ivy discovered both friendships and her dream career path in healthcare. Now, Ivy is incredibly honored to serve as the Vice President of Growth for Minnesota HOSA for the 2024-2025 year.
Ivy, a senior at Nova Classical Academy, plans to major in biochemistry. Her dream is to become a geriatric ophthalmologist, focusing on elderly eye care. HOSA has been and will continue to be crucial in Ivy’s journey, providing a supportive community and opportunities to learn. She sees HOSA not just as a club, but as a place to learn, grow, and connect with others who share her passion for healthcare.
As Vice President of Growth for Minnesota HOSA, Ivy has a clear goal: to make it easier for schools, especially smaller ones like hers, to start and maintain thriving chapters. Drawing from her own experiences with a small chapter, Ivy understands the challenges schools face in getting regular meetings off the ground. She’s committed to simplifying the process by offering practical resources and guidance. Ivy envisions a supportive environment where all HOSA chapters in Minnesota can flourish.
Outside of school and HOSA, you can probably find Ivy playing the New York Times games or doing an online puzzle. She’s been playing the cello for almost 10 years and is a proud member of the Minnesota Youth Symphonies. Ivy also runs her own online jewelry shop. When she’s not making music or crafting jewelry, she enjoys reading, listening to music, hammocking, and spending time with her younger sister.
Ivy is thrilled to step into her role as Vice President of Growth for Minnesota HOSA. She is excited about the year ahead and ready to support chapters across the state.
