“It isn’t what we say or think that defines us, but what we do.” – Jane Austen
Joining her freshman year of highschool, Taydem quickly found a home in HOSA. This organization has provided her with an abundance of valuable experiences, opportunities, and the chances to meet so many incredible like-minded people. HOSA allows Taydem to express herself while learning skills that will help her in her future career and beyond.
As a Senior at Blaine High School, Taydem aspires to pursue a biochemistry major on the premed track and hopes to work one day as a Pathologist or Pediatrician. Competing at the state and international level in HOSA’s Clinical Laboratory Science event has provided Taydem with a hands-on opportunity to learn more about and gain experience for her future career.
Growing up with a plethora of health issues and experiencing first-hand the different facets of healthcare has inspired Taydem to work in the healthcare industry to provide compassionate and attentive care for others. She believes that through listening to the experiences of others, hard-work, and empathy, we together can make an impact and create a healthier tomorrow.
Outside of HOSA, Taydem can be found swimming for her school’s swim team, overanalyzing movies and writing reviews on Letterboxd, reading a book, or perusing the aisles of Trader Joe’s. She has played the viola for 7 years and is an active member of her school’s concert and chamber orchestra. Taydem loves listening to music, reading, and watching movies for the opportunities they give her to learn about different perspectives of life.
Taydem is honored to serve as your 2024-2025 Public Relations Officer and is so excited to serve Minnesota HOSA as we work to mold the health of tomorrow.
