“We are the ones we’ve been waiting for.” – June Jordan
Stumbling into her school’s first ever HOSA meeting, her freshman year, Ivy started off her HOSA journey unknowing of the plethora of precious experiences, connections, and light that this organization would bring her. HOSA has truly paved the way for Ivy and her future, allowing her to embrace her identity, find her true purpose within the medical field, and learn a bit about what it means to be a leader. Constantly in awe of and continuously inspired by the wonderful HOSA family that surrounds her, she is humbled and incredibly honored to serve as Minnesota HOSA’s President for the 2025-2026 year.
As a Senior at Mounds View High School, Ivy hopes to pursue a career in neurology. She has aspirations to connect the physiological and psychological aspects of mental health and to treat the branches of brain cancer. Just as she dreams of bridging complex systems within the brain, Ivy envisions transforming Minnesota HOSA into an interconnected community where any member, old or new, can find solace, feel heard and seen, and be empowered to pursue their passions.
Outside of her academic pursuits, Ivy spends most of her weekends at cross country meets, lounging at her local library or with her teammates at speech tournaments. Ivy is also a self proclaimed Pinterest enthusiast, meticulously making boards and constantly finding new aesthetics to emulate. While making mood boards, Ivy can be found lip-syncing along to her favorite music artists or listening to a video analysis essay. Looking forward to the year ahead, Ivy is incredibly thrilled to serve and give back to Minnesota HOSA, as we continue to take strides in empowering future healthcare leaders, promoting beneficial change, and creating a healthier tomorrow.
