“What you are looking for is already in you. Do not try to become something else.”- Thich Nhat Hanh
Joining HOSA-Future Health Professionals during her freshman year of high school, Elaine has been gifted with a multitude of lessons, experiences, and lifelong friendships. This organization has allowed her to cultivate her passions and freely embrace her individuality. Surrounded by a family that collectively strives to create a better, healthier tomorrow, Elaine confidently calls HOSA-Future Health Professionals ‘home.’ With that, she is humbled to serve Minnesota HOSA as President for the 2024-25 year.
As a senior from Blaine High School, Elaine aspires to pursue a career in neuropsychology, aiming to treat and destigmatize mental illness in a time when it is absolutely vital for our voices to be heard. Elaine strives to amplify the voices of the unsung and silenced to shed light on the multifaceted adversities our communities endure every day. She believes that with compassion, diligence, and an open mind, we can bring forth a stronger, healthier, kinder tomorrow.
Outside of HOSA, Elaine can be found taking a stroll around the lake, analyzing the latest fashion cycles, or listening to the La La Land soundtrack (solely Mia and Sebastian’s Theme). She is a novice poet who enjoys sharing her writing most Saturdays with the Blaine Speech team. Other weekends, she spends time with her sangha–GDPTTA, having been a member since 2012. With endless gratitude, Elaine looks forward to continuing to serve HOSA and witnessing what we can achieve as we are Powered by People this year.
Elaine is excited and ready to stand alongside Minnesota HOSA as we foster positive change, overcome adversity, and mold the health of tomorrow.
