Ellen is a human resources professional with over 30 years of experience. Since 2005 she has worked either directly or in a consulting capacity in the Senior Living and Services Industry. She has provided support to Housing with Services, Home Care, HUD Housing and skilled nursing facilities, provided training to leadership and staff on a wide range of topics– to include Brand Values training and employee engagement.
Ellen was a senior member of the corporate HR team for 7 years at Ecumen that developed and evaluated human resources policies and procedures and lead the company-wide Employee Engagement Survey efforts. Ellen has been a member of MN HOSA for over 10 years and is a past Board Chair. Ellen is also a member of LeadingAge Minnesota and the Society for Human Resources Management (1999). Currently Ellen is VP of Human Resources for Financial Recovery Services based in Mendota Heights and also continues her consulting services as an independent HR Trainer and Consultant to providers in the aging services provider community.
Ellen attended St. Cloud State University and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and minored in both Business and Coaching. She is active in her church community as both a Parish Council Member and teacher for the Faith Formation Program. She is the proud mother of 3 adult children and grateful grandmother to 3 grandchildren who bring her a lot of joy!

What I love most about HOSA is the diversity of our Board and the knowledge they bring; the passion and commitment our Board has for the students and furthering the learning of our HOSA students; seeing the students grow from their first year to their last year and also the growth of the State Officers from the beginning of the year to the end of the year…. And the events and the energy and …. All of it!!
