“You’ll have to be addicted to hard work” – David Goggins
In 2020 Viplav met a whole community of future health professionals at his first State Leadership Conference. Now, as he enters his fourth year in HOSA at Wayzata High School, Vip is driven by a strong sense of purpose to give back to his HOSA family and has become an integral part of the organization, serving as the Vice President of MSPC.
Looking ahead, Viplav envisions a future as a major in Molecular and Cellular Biology on the pre-medicine track. His passion lies in providing quality healthcare to patients, and he aims to use his immigrant background to address global health inequities.
Vip’s determination to inspire his fellow HOSA members is evident as he encourages them to embrace their unique backgrounds, cultivating their own leadership voices. He firmly believes that diverse leaders are essential in advancing medicine and promoting inclusivity in healthcare, and he is committed to helping his fellow members realize their full potential.
Beyond his academic pursuits and involvement in HOSA, Vip’s interests are diverse. You can often find him with his nose stuck in a Leigh Bardugo or Brandon Sanderson, always expanding his personal book collection with each new addition. When he’s not lost in fictional worlds he is constantly expanding his varying music taste. From Joji to Baby Keem to the Foo Fighters, he listens to almost every genre. He ensures there’s always a new challenge in life, and has recently taken up volleyball, lobbying, and speech. He hopes for his legacy on HOSA to be unforgettably impactful.
