Summary:
Abha is a junior at Wayzata High School and currently serves as the Education & Outreach Coordinator for her HOSA chapter. In this role she focuses on increasing member engagement and expanding access to opportunities through a wide range of initiatives. She coordinates healthcare guest speakers, manages a shared Google Calendar to keep members informed about meetings and deadlines, and maintains a Canvas hub of volunteer, internship, and professional development opportunities. She founded the chapter’s “Awareness of the Month” initiative, encouraging members to research and share information about different diseases and health conditions, and has organized service events such as Cards for Cancer Patients and Winter Wellness. Abha has also coordinated fundraisers including a glow-in-the-dark yoga collaboration benefiting the Muscular Dystrophy Association and a hot cocoa fundraiser supporting the National Marrow Donor Program. She has attended Fall Leadership Conference, Mid-Winter, State Leadership Conference, and the International Leadership Conference multiple times and has earned numerous competitive event placements, including first-place finishes in Medical Innovation, Community Awareness, Health Career Photography, Respiratory Therapy, and Family Medicine Physician.
