After discovering HOSA at a summer scrubs camp prior to her freshman year, Linnea was instantly captivated by its mission and potential. Motivated by a desire to bring that same sense of inspiration to others, she founded her school’s HOSA chapter and immediately set out to expand its reach and deepen its impact. What began as a simple interest quickly grew into something much more—HOSA became a second home, a place where she found purpose, belonging, and a supportive community that inspired her to lead with heart. Through her journey, Linnea has cultivated invaluable lessons in perseverance, empathy, and the true essence of leadership. Now, she looks forward to serving her HOSA family through her role as Minnesota HOSA’s Vice President of Outreach for the 2025-2026 year.
A sophomore at Como Park Senior High, Linnea serves as president of her school’s chapter, where she leads meetings, organizes community outreach, and mentors new members. Inspired by her own experiences with chronic illness and her fascination with the brain, she plans to pursue a career in neurology. She hopes to one day provide compassionate, specialized care to people with chronic neurological conditions, while also advocating for better access to neurological resources in underserved communities. Her professional goals are rooted in the same values she brings to HOSA: education, equity, and empowerment. Through her role as a state officer, she hopes to begin laying the groundwork for that future by creating spaces where every student, regardless of their circumstances, can explore healthcare careers, find mentorship, and realize their own potential to make a difference.
As a state officer, Linnea envisions a more inclusive and connected HOSA. She is committed to breaking down barriers that prevent students in underserved communities from accessing the opportunities HOSA provides—whether it be conference attendance, competitive events, or healthcare career exposure. Her goals include expanding and supporting local chapters across Minnesota, strengthening the alumni network to foster mentorship and continuity, and developing resources that make participation more equitable. Linnea believes that every student, regardless of background, deserves the chance to explore their passion for healthcare—and she’s ready to make that vision a reality.
Outside of her involvement in HOSA, Linnea is a lover of all things cozy, creative, and curious. She can often be found binge-watching crime shows, journaling late into the night, or snuggling up with her two cats. A lifelong learner at heart, she enjoys exploring psychology topics for fun and channeling her thoughts into creative writing or scrapbooking. Linnea also has a soft spot for curating vision boards and Spotify playlists that capture every mood and moment. When she’s not immersed in her creative world, she’s out volunteering in her community or daydreaming about the future she hopes to build in healthcare. As she looks forward to the year ahead, Linnea is excited and honored to serve Minnesota HOSA—working to uplift future leaders, expand access, and create spaces where all students can thrive.
