Chapters must host at least two (2) chapter meetings per month throughout the school year. Meetings may include informational meetings, guest speakers, competitive event preparation, service projects, chapter activities, or other approved chapter programming.
To demonstrate consistent communication and planning, chapters must:
- Advertise meetings through Instagram or another chapter communication platform
Meeting advertisements should clearly communicate important details including date, time, location, and meeting purpose when applicable. |

Host at least two (2) Competitive Event (CE) Preparation Meetings prior to the State Leadership Conference (SLC).
May include event workshops, practice sessions, skill demonstrations, mock judging, interview preparation, presentation review, or general competitive event guidance. |

Submit two photos via the Honor Chapter Form by February 1st:
- One of your local officer team

Communicate regularly with your assigned State Officer throughout the year.
Exceptions may be made for new chapters formed later in the year. |

| 10 |
Chapters must create a chapter calendar by October 16th that outlines major chapter events, deadlines, and activities throughout the year. Calendars should be updated as needed and shared with all members throughout the year.

At minimum, calendars must include:
- Officer meetings
- Full chapter/informational meetings (minimum one per month)
- Guest speakers, service projects, fundraisers, and chapter activities (if applicable)
- Competitive event preparation meetings
- Chapter deadlines and Minnesota HOSA deadlines
- Include chapter-specific conference registration, payment, and preparation deadlines
- Links to meeting slideshows or important resources when applicable
To verify communication and member understanding, chapters must submit a short video of a local officer explaining the chapter calendar to members. The video must include at least five (5) members present. Honor Chapter Form |

| Section: State Officer Involvement |
| 11 |
Complete a Graded Chapter Visit by January 30th.
You must score 80% or higher on the Graded Chapter Visit
Evaluation Rubric.
Graded Chapter Visits must be requested at least 30 days prior to the planned meeting date.

Ensure At least half (50%) of your officer team of your officer team attends at least two (2) Chapter Connect sessions
These statewide leadership calls are held throughout the year. One will be available prior to each conference. |

| Section: Conference Participation |
| 13 |
Attend at least two (2) of the following events:
- Fall Leadership Conference (FLC)
- Midwinter Competition
- MRC Camp
- International Leadership Conference (previous year)

| 14 |
Attend the State Leadership Conference (SLC)
This is mandatory to qualify as an Honor Chapter. |

|
| 15 |
Chapter participation by one (1) or more member(s) in one (1) of the following activities:
- MN HOSA Internship
- State Officer
- State Officer Candidate
- Voting Delegate at SLC (current year) – All chapters are allowed one (1) voting delegate at SLC

|
| 16 |
Pay all conference registration fees within 30 days of the completion of the conference (ex. pay FLC fees by December 6)
Staying in good financial standing is required for eligibility. |

| 17 |
Chapters must ensure that 90% or more of members registered for the State Leadership Conference (SLC) successfully submit required digital uploads by the Minnesota HOSA deadline. |
|
|
|
| Section: Alumni Relations |
| 18 |
Register all graduating seniors as official HOSA alumni
Use the national registration to formally mark them as alumni. |

| Section: Chapter Structure |
| 19 |
Chapters must create chapter bylaws outlining chapter structure, leadership expectations, meeting procedures, and chapter operations. Bylaws should be reviewed annually by the Advisor and local officer teams, and shared with membership. Bylaws should be submitted HERE by October 16th.
Minimum required sections include:
- Chapter purpose and membership eligibility
- Officer positions and responsibilities
- Officer election/selection process
- Meeting structure and attendance expectations
- Chapter rules, expectations, or accountability processes
- Conference eligibility requirements (if applicable)
- Amendment process for updating bylaws

| 20 |
Chapters must submit all local officer positions and contact information HERE by October 16th and maintain an approved officer structure. To ensure consistency across Minnesota HOSA, The following officer structures are not eligible for Honor Chapter recognition:
-
- Co-President or other Co-Positions (ie. multiple positions with the same title)
- Specific Vice President roles (ex: Vice President of Competitive Events) are permitted.
- “Elect” positions other than President-Elect
- State Officer Liaison positions
Chapters with unapproved officer structures will be asked to revise positions in a timely manner to remain eligible for Honor Chapter recognition. |

| Section: Advisor Participation |
| 21 |
Advisors must attend one Minnesota HOSA advisor training in collaboration with the New Chapter Coordinator, Ivy Treitler.
Training content and length vary depending on advisor experience and involvement with Minnesota HOSA. Due by: ______ (winter break)
- Honor Chapter Advisor Trainings
- 45-minute meeting
- Typically for advisors with 1–2 years of experience; full review and planning
- 30-minute meeting
- Typically for advisors with 3–5 years of experience; progress check and targeted support
