As a sophomore walking the halls of Maple Grove Senior High School, Emma Joseph first discovered HOSA through a simple poster advertising Future Health Professionals. What began as a small step outside of her comfort zone quickly became something much more. Through HOSA, Emma found a place where her passion for healthcare & leadership could truly grow. What she didn’t expect was how deeply the organization would shape her confidence and sense of belonging within the vast world of medicine.
As a Senior, Emma plans to pursue a pre-med track with the goal of becoming an OBGYN. Coming from a family surrounded by individuals in healthcare, she has long been inspired by the compassion, resilience, and impact that medical professionals bring into people’s lives. This influence, combined with her own desire to support and advocate for others, continues to drive her toward a future in healthcare. Stepping into her role as Vice President of Engagement, Emma hopes to strengthen connections within chapters, increase participation, and leave a lasting impact on everyone she meets through HOSA. Through connection with local officers, Emma is committed to making engagement authentic & meaningful for all members.
Outside of HOSA, Emma is a first-degree black belt in Taekwondo, something that reflects her discipline and commitment. She also enjoys baking, watching true crime, and taking pictures on her digital camera. Whether she’s trying out a new recipe or capturing everyday moments, Emma brings a creative and driven energy into all she does. Emma steps into her role as the Minnesota HOSA Vice President of Engagement with a mission: to make every member feel like they belong and that their voice matters. She hopes to turn opportunities into experiences, ensuring that every student can find their place in HOSA, just as she did.
