Joining HOSA in her sophomore year, Sahasra walked into her first meeting simply curious about what HOSA was. However, she quickly found herself drawn in by the energy, the people, and the excitement of learning something new. What started as an interest in medical knowledge soon turned into a deep connection to a community that made her feel inspired and genuinely excited to be involved. Through HOSA, Sahasra found a space where passion meets purpose, and she is incredibly honored to serve as Minnesota HOSA’s Activities Coordinator for the 2026-2027 year.
As a senior at Math and Science Academy, Sahasra plans to pursue a future in orthodontics, with a strong interest in bridging gaps in healthcare access and education. She hopes to not only grow her own understanding of the medical field, but also empower others to explore healthcare pathways. Through HOSA, she is committed to advocating for greater awareness, accessibility, and inclusivity in healthcare spaces. As Activities Coordinator, Sahasra hopes to ensure that conferences are genuinely fun, welcoming, and full of energy. She wants every member, whether it’s their first conference or last, to feel like they belong and have a community here with HOSA. By creating engaging activities and meaningful connections, she aims to build a stronger sense of community within Minnesota HOSA, where everyone has a place to contribute.
Outside of HOSA, you can find Sahasra playing volleyball or spending her summers on sand courts, soaking up the sun and fun competition. She’s almost always listening to music with her headphones in or doomscrolling on Tiktok for hours. In her free time, you can find her in the kitchen trying out new recipes that blend her Indian and American roots into something uniquely her own. Sahasra is beyond excited for the year ahead and is committed to making Minnesota HOSA a place where members can grow, connect, and create unforgettable memories.
